Devils Tower National Monument (Devils Tower, WY)

From the Tetons we headed to Devils Tower National Monument. We stayed at the KOA just outside of the park gates, which gave us a great view of the monument! It was HOT (103!) ☀️ but we still saw several prairie dogs at Prairie Dog Town and a few humans climbing the tower 🧗‍♀️

Grand Teton National Park (Moose, WY)

On Sunday we left Yellowstone and headed for Grand Teton National Park. We got all set up at our campsite and then realized we should probably do some site seeing, so we broke down camp and headed out again for a few hours. The mountains and surrounding scenery are absolutely incredible! If you’re going to Yellowstone, definitely visit the Tetons right next door.

By the time we got back to our campsite Beau wasn’t feeling well. He initially tested negative. Then 24 hours later he passed out and I had to call 911. The medics checked him out and we felt comfortable not going to the hospital. The day after that he tested positive for COVID. He is doing better everyday, but it’s been a rough week. I have no symptoms and have twice tested negative. Living in a 25 foot RV, you can’t exactly quarantine from each other, so not getting it feels miraculous.

We had to change a lot of our plans for the week, sitting in the RV wasn’t exactly how we hoped to spend our time in the Tetons. It’s also not the ideal way to quarantine, but we didn’t have a lot of other options. Right now we’re just grateful he’s doing better and that we’re together.

(First photo is at Yellowstone Lake, one of our last before leaving the park, the rest are from the Tetons)

A few more videos from Yellowstone…

Yellowstone National Park (Yellowstone, WY)

On Saturday we drove the northern loop of Yellowstone, where we saw TWO bears, as well as many elk and bison! Unfortunately we couldn’t go to Lamar Valley due to the recent floods, but we did get to see Mammoth and several other sites along the way.

Yellowstone National Park (Yellowstone, WY)

We took a 9 hour bus tour of the southern loop of Yellowstone yesterday. It was so nice to have someone else do all the driving and parking (thanks Kevin!), while getting to see almost all of the big sites the southern loop offers (missed the Grand Prismatic). Yellowstone is such a magical place!

In our first hour at Yellowstone we saw elk, coyote, and bison! What an incredible place!

Bozeman, MT

A lovely day in Bozeman! We went to the American Computer and Robotics Museum, the Museum of the Rockies (the Apsáalooke Women and Warriors exhibit was great), shopped and had dinner on Main Street, and took a soak in the hot springs where we’re staying!

National Bison Range (Charlo, MT)

We found the herd! Approximatelv 350-500 bison roam at The National Bison Range on 18,000+ acres in Montana. Ownership of the National Bison Range was transferred to the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes by federal trust in 2020. This was such a cool experience and only costs $10 for a vehicle day pass, highly recommend!

Glacier National Park (West Glacier, MT)

Due to late-season snow and heavy rainfall the Going to the Sun road hasn’t fully opened yet, so our Red Bus Tour was rather abbreviated, but we still enjoyed the sites we did see!
